One iota campaign shortlisted for Oracle Retail Week Awards

One iota – the social, mobile and local technology provider – has had its work shortlisted for the Oracle Retail Week Awards.

The Awards, which take place in March 2012, recognise the best in UK retailing, by celebrating innovation and vision in the sector.

One iota’s campaign with major high-street retailer Republic has been nominated in the ‘Retail Technology Initiative of the Year’ category for its management of Republic’s Facebook Check-in Deals service. The deals service gave shoppers access to exclusive offers and promotions which were activated when users ‘checked-in’ to five flagship Republic stores via Facebook on their mobile phone.

Since it was launched, the service has been rolled out nationally to all of Republic’s leading stores. It has also increased Facebook Fans by 16 per cent.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on 15 March 2012.
